"Throughout my life various people have taken on the role of significant way-showers, mentors and guides, those who hold a light, as it were, on my path, gently guiding me towards my true north. Kathryn is one of those guides. She helped me find my way by asking good questions, listening deeply to my story, and cleaning a mirror so I could better see my reflection. She fashioned tools with which I used to uncover my own treasures. She will walk hand in hand with you along your path and share insights and revelations she has found to make your way easier."   — Paula, client

INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS
Where are you in your life journey? If you have searched the book shelves for the right self-help book and tried many with the same desire — to move forward, to be free, to change or shift — often to fall short of your intended goals. Realize that the problem could be that you are trying on someone else’s shoes, only to find out that they don’t quite fit. In other words, self-help books (though often filled with universal truths that are great reminders to us all), are often a recount of one person’s journey and the success that was laid out for them on their personal path. Though you may resonate with the author, their path is not your path. The other disappointment of self-help books can lie in a superfluous promise that if you buy, read and follow the steps of the book, you too can have the perfect (or at least much improved) life that you have been hoping for. You will be richer, more loved and the newest trend — truly happy. Has that happened? Do you feel like a failure if it hasn’t?
I believe that these books are mostly well-intended and even helpful in some cases, but I think they also prey on a deep-seated belief that we are “not enough” as we are and that something — some prescribed set of do’s will make us so. We have an image in our head of what our life would look like if only we were the person who was “good enough” to deserve it. You could spend a lifetime chasing this paradigm, because as soon as you step up a rung, the level of expectation increases too and so you are endlessly chasing perfection. Exhausting. Plus, it isn’t even a Truth, it is just a judgement that you have imposed on yourself, this “not good enough” label. And you will never be able to appease it.
So, why do I bring all of this up? Because I want to make sure that you are the right client for me, just like you want to make sure that I am the right practitioner for you. My door is open to those who are through catering to an insufferable belief of unworthiness or who have exhausted the self-help workshop/book circuit. Let’s work together if you feel there has got to be another way. Contact me if you want an individualized session that will address your specific concerns. And here is the other thing that I want to let you in on, I am not promising that you will be a different person after our work together. In fact, I’ll be more focused on your acceptance of the person that you are now. I’ll require you to be curious about that person, to delve deeper then the superficial hubbub of your ego, to look inside for your empowerment, to listen to what your soul wants to express. This may shift your focus, it may and hopefully will increase a feeling of well-being and satisfaction. So if you have the courage to find out who you are and the compassion to embrace this authentic self, then let’s get started. I can’t wait to meet you.
